Activation
To
set up the Bio-Circle system, the Bio-Circle L liquid is simply
poured into the tank (100 litres for the Standard, 80 litres for the Compact), and the unit plugged into the power supply. THe pumps and heaters will turn on automatically. The solution is brought up to and maintained
at a constant 41 degrees C, and the air pump provides oxygen to
the microbes to activate them. The previously dormant micro-organisms
are now live and ready to eat!
Operation
The parts washer is used just like any other washer. The pump is
turned on to provide clean fluid to the wash basin, and parts are
cleaned using either the flexible joint hose or the flow-through
brush. Dirty cleaning fluid drains out through the double filter
back into the tank below. This filter traps solid particles removed
from the parts being cleaned.
Continuous
Cleaning
The dirty fluid collects in the main tank, with the oils and grease
etc floating to the surface. The micro-organisms rise to the surface
and consume the contaminants, converting them into carbon dioxide
and water. The air pump ensures a steady supply of oxygen essential
to the micro-organisms. With enough oxygen, they will thrive and
there will be no anaerobic degradation or bad odour.
This process
continues indefinitely: as long as the temperature is maintained,
oxygen flow is provided and nutrients (oil, grease etc) are "fed"
to the liquid, the micro-organisms will thrive and multiply.
This continuous
process gives the cleaning solution a long service life. The solution
will require topping up occasionally (to replace fluid lost through
evaporation and drag-out), but there is no need for continuous disposal and replacement.
Economic
Efficiency
This new system gives the cleaning fluid a very long usable life
span. Even if contamination levels rise, the cleaning results are
constantly good. Afterwards, the Bio-Circle L liquid can be disposed
of with other oil/water mixtures, in accordance with local regulations.
It results in very economical cleaning compared to continual disposal
of used solvents.
Maintenance
Maintenance of the Bio-Circle II is a simple process.
Daily maintenance
consists of checking the fluid level and cleaning the drain filter,
if necessary. If the fluid level is low, top it up with fresh Bio-Circle
L liquid. This re-charges the microbes in the system and ensures
they thrive in their environment.
Annually, it
is recommended that the Bio-Circle be drained, cleaned and checked
before it is put back into service - either with fresh liquid, or
the same liquid previously removed.
Full information
on operation and maintenance are provided in the comprehensive instruction
manual.
